Damiana Leaf | Cut and Sifted

Sold by the ounce. Buy a little or stock up—the choice is yours.

Damiana (Turnera diffusa) is an aromatic herb native to Mexico, Central America, and the American Southwest. Our cut and sifted Damiana Leaf is sourced from Mexico, where this flowering shrub has a long history of traditional use.

For generations, damiana has been used in herbal preparations, including teas, flavored wines, cordials, and botanical blends. It is perhaps best known for its traditional association with relaxation, mood, intimacy, and sexual wellness, which has earned it a lasting reputation as an aphrodisiac herb.

What Does Damiana Taste Like?

Damiana has an earthy, aromatic, slightly bitter herbal flavor. It can be brewed on its own or combined with other herbs to create a custom loose-leaf tea blend.

Because we sell our herbs by weight, you don't have to commit to a large package. Purchase an ounce to experiment with or stock up on exactly the amount you need.

How to Use Damiana Leaf

One of the simplest ways to enjoy damiana is as an herbal tea. Add the dried leaves to hot water, allow them to steep, strain, and enjoy. Adjust the amount and steeping time to suit your taste.

Damiana can also be incorporated into loose herbal tea blends and has a long history of use in flavored wines and cordials.
