Our Organic Valerian Root (Valeriana officinalis) is a cut and sifted botanical with a strong, distinctive aroma and earthy, bittersweet flavor.
Valerian has a long history of traditional herbal use and is commonly included in bedtime and evening herbal tea blends. It can be brewed on its own or combined with other herbs to create custom caffeine-free tea blends.

How to Make Valerian Root Tea
Add approximately 1 teaspoon of valerian root per 8 ounces of hot water.
Cover and steep for about 10–15 minutes, then strain. Because valerian has a naturally strong aroma and bittersweet flavor, many people prefer blending it with other herbs.
